Trip to Pun Hill – Annapurna Region

Ghorepani-Pun hill Trek in Annapurna Region offers some of the most dramatic close-up views of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world. Trek of Ghorepani to Poon hill is the popular trekking trails, also known as Annapurna Balcony Trekking, are fit for all age trekkers and adventure seekers. The trekking in the area, offers the spectacular mountain scenery along with charming villages, inhabited particularly by the Gurungs and Magars communities, thick rhododendron forests, which are full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with the scenic peak of Machhapuchhare (Fishtail).


Ghorepani-Poon hill trekking is popular for panoramic views of Himalayan such as--Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Nilgiri (7040m), Annapurna south (7219m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Hunchuli (6441m), fishtail/Machhapuchhare (6998m), LamjungHimal (6986m), Tukuche peak (6920m), Dhampus peak (6012m) among others, where you also can have the experience of blend of diverse culture of various ethnic groups like, Bramin ,Chhetri, Magar, Thakali, gurung and others..


Day 01: Arrival in Katmandu.
Day 02: Fly Pokhara and trek to TikheDhunga (1540m)
Day 03: Trek to Ghorepani. (2860m)
Day 04: Trek to Pun Hill (3210m) and back to Hile (1920m)
Day 05: Trek back Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara
Day 06: Fly back to Kathmandu – visit to Baudhanath
Day 07: Visit Moonlight School
Day 08: Fly back to home

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and you will be met at the airport by our representative and transfer to Hotel by private car. Welcome drink and after you settle into the hotel there will be a group briefing with your tour leader. He will discuss the trip details and co-ordinate any last minute arrangements. Overnight at deluxe hotel in Kathmandu


Day 02: Fly Pokhara and trek to TikheDhunga (1540m)
Fly to Pokhara in the Morning. You will be taken Lake first for a panorama view. After that, we drive to Nayapul (48 km.) 1.5 hours by vehicle over hilly ridges of Lumle/Kande . The trail starts at the bottom of a river valley and passes through a lovely birch forest. Trek alongside the river and rice terraces up to Thikedhunga . (Walking about 3/4 hours). Overnight at Tea House in Thikedhunga.


Day 03: TikheDhunga - Ghorepani. (2860m)
Breakfast served in the morning around 7am. From Tikhedhunga the trail crosses a stream (BhurungdiKhola) on a suspension bridge to start the long steep climb to the large Magar village Uleri at 2070m. Above the village the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. There are magnificent rhododendrons and oak forests and we lunch in Nangethanti. Thanti is a Nepali words meaning “rest house”. In the winter, the trail can be covered with show. From Nangethanti about one hours walks to Ghorepani at 2848m. (Walking about 6/7 hours). Overnight at Tea House in Ghorepani.


Day 04: Ghorepani - Pun Hill (3210m) to back to Hile
We will visit Poon Hill for the panoramic and sunrise views of world’s most scenic mountains ranges including the mountains above the 8000 Meters. You will wake up early in the morning at about 5am and get ready to go. It takes about 50 minutes to reach the small flat top. You will see the sun gradually rise on the mountains and the views are Breathtaking.The Mountain peaks you will see are Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Tukuche, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, Dhaulagiri, Fish tail and Lamjung and other Himalayan Ranges. After having Breakfast at Ghorepani, we hike down to Hile through deep pine and rhododendron forests. (Walking about 5/6 hours). Overnight at Tea House in Hile


Day 05: Trek back to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara
After breakfast, hike down to Nayapul through small waterfalls. The trail continues through via beautiful village and along river banks to Nayapul. From Nayapul drive for one an hour’s to Pokhara. After getting to Pokhara rest for while at the hotel and visit the lake for a nice view of the lake and mountains. (Walking about 3/4 hours). Overnight at deluxe hotel in Pokhara.


Day 06: fly back to Kathmandu – visit to Boudhanath
This Morning we fly to Katmandu, a thrilling flight over forests, fields and villages, with the Himalaya in the background. After you get to Kathmandu, you will visit to Boudhanath. Overnight at deluxe hotel in Kathmandu.

Boudhanath Stupa is the largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. The stupa is located in the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu.


Day 07: Visit Moonlight School After having Breakfast, we will drive to Moonlight School and spend a time with Moonlight Kids at the school where you can teach and play games with the children as well as have a lunch together with the Moonlight Children and Teachers at Moonlight School. Overnight at deluxe hotel in Kathmandu
